The Culinary Institute of America… This pic was taken during Chef Brown’s Baking Module. While I wasn’t necessarily a fan of baking vs. “cooking” at the time… I do appreciate the exactness of baking these days. Plus, who doesn’t like a great loaf of bread for a reasonable price? Pennies vs. Dollars. I love Tartine in Pasadena, don’t get me wrong, but they do charge an arm and a leg for a loaf of bread!!! Honestly, people… Bread requires 4-5 ingredients. That’s it!!! People have been making bread for CENTURIES void of fanfare. (Excluding a revolution or two) It’s very satisfying to see a golden loaf coming to life in the oven. I promise.
